Inwood, 212th Street at Tenth Avenue

Mary Sargent © 2006

I’m driving to Maine tomorrow morning (yay, vacation!) so this will be my last post until Saturday night. Can’t stay away too long.

I leave you with this clean and simple and, dare I say, perfect photo. I’m not saying it’s a great photo or the best photo, or intriguing or beautiful or terribly interesting, anything like that. I’m just saying it’s perfect.

You're going to Maine? The things I learn from this blog. . .

Simple, yes and no. I wonder about the definition of perfect. The word never would have come to me to describe the photo. I would say "complete."

I looked up perfect to find the first definition in Answers.com dictionary:

Lacking nothing essential to the whole; complete of its nature or kind.

Well, two of the there comments are perfect. Hard for me to type here at the library computer, as someone nearby is snoring - yes! - but I'll forge on and say that I LOVE that blue blue fence and the green pants against it (I hope it's green; at least it is in my memory of what I just saw).

No, I did know you were going to Maine. It was one of those things where you post and then realize how foolish it was. Good thing you're not flying.

Yes this is a good one. We're all sitting here staring at the last photo with nothing else to do.
COME BACK SOON.
