Inwood, Nagle Avenue Between Thayer and Dyckman Streets

Mary Sargent © 2007 …………………………………….. click to enlarge

Now, on the other side of the platform, some life! Some color! I look forward to being street level with this cute block. Notice the graffiti on the pipe on the roof. If you click on the photos now, they over-enlarge and run off the page, but at least you can see the tiniest details, including that pipe.

See map.

I feel that I've seen this block before, not in a photo but in real life without quotes. Anyway, I love this one - it is so unartsy (not that the others are artsy, but you know what I mean) and so Old New York. It's the kind of picture that, in twenty or thirty years, you'll look at it and think, "Man, that's the way it WAS."
