Washington Heights, Broadway Between Fairview Avenue and 192nd Street

Now, as for the guava sandwich I mentioned earlier, I had it at the Dona Carmen Bakery Cafe shown above (with the dark red canopy). It was just guava paste between two cookies, a little sweet to have with your Spanish coffee; the most exciting thing about it was the name.

What a great photo! I'm from Vancouver, and over here, older streets like this one are getting torn down and new condos are coming up everywhere. Some parts of Vancouver are so modern and beautiful, but also feel too sanitary and kind of devoid of any soul. That photo is fantastic.

It's happening here, too, and sometimes I feel like I'd better hurry before everything old and interesting is gone. But really, it's just the specific places you mourn. We're not going to run out of old stuff any time soon.

Well, I'm from Brooklyn and trying to stave off the bulldozers and richies! Anyway, I love the previous comments and the photo, and that zigzag rhythm you achieved in it.
