Hell's Kitchen, 58th Street Between Tenth and Eleventh Avenues

Last Saturday, September 16, I went to visit a friend at Roosevelt Hospital on Tenth Avenue between 58th and 59th Streets. Afterwards I walked 58th Street to the West Side Highway and back on 59th. Enough of nature, away with the vistas! Time for some city color.

So sparse, yet so much to take in. I am drawn in by the vertical door edge.

The longser I look at this photo, the more I like it - it takes a while because it is very subtle.

There's something interesting going on with the brick in the center of the photo. In the small size it looks like it's a shadow. Enlarged it seems like a genie is going to appear.
