This is the last shot of my October 7 walk, now turning on Amsterdam and walking downtown to 110th, then back to Broadway and subway home. Columbia University to the right in this shot.

Thank you for this ballade in the District for “Morningside Heights”. A very beautiful of NYC and very alive district thanks to the university. I like much “the riverside church” for his architecture (and also for the concerts which takes place in the church)

I really like this one. It seems I am often drawn to the color. The yellow truck and the green scarf just make this photo.

(Olivier, even I can understand your French! Yay!)

Anyway, to not be distracted: To me, this is a quintissential (spelling?) New York scene: kind of sad, kind of unbeautiful, very "real." And I like the animated pink flyer (cute!). And cuteness rules.

I just noticed the fabulous little square of red behind the woman's head. That, and the sad little bag on the meter's head really make it for me composition-wise. A quite poignant photograph.
