I still don't know what it is, but I like it. The sign on the open door back there says No Exit, but that's not exactly true.

Hi Mary, I think that I lived in this building as a kid back in the late 1950` early 60`s. I remember that the door/gate was I think the entrance to the apartment where the super lived, and that door with the no exit may have been for services. He was a lovely old black guy, I think his name was Amos.
